I have been drawing and painting since childhood. In my works I focus on lines and colours. I choose the topics of my works on what interests me at the time. Either is it a portrait of close people or a structure of old buildings. Currently I'm working on project "Act of pattern" where I focus on female body. I concentrate on delicate and soft forms of the models and the game of shadows and light. I show parts of women’s figures covered in patterned materials and place them in colorful backgrounds. I’m not interested in portrait- nameless bodies make the scene more mysterious. The paintings seem almost abstract- eyes get lost in the multitude of lines, colors and shapes. The ornaments that I use are mainly from Middle East. I am fascinated by their colors, harmony and rhythm. My aim is to combine two different cultures: European (female nude) and Islamic (ornaments). “Act of pattern” is a reflection of my experiences- travels and traditions.
